Here are some of the most popular and effective Telegram search engines similar to TelegramDB, designed for quickly finding Telegram channels and groups without relying on search bots. I have tested each entry on this list, and while many of the search indexes overlap (as expected), each site offers a fairly unique approach and can reveal different content even with the same query. Enjoy!

The Ones I Use The Most – Quick Reference
- Telegago – in my opinion one of the very best third-party PSE-based search engines for Telegram indexing thousands of groups, channels, bots, and Telegraph pages. Works with standard Google search operators.
- Lyzem – with its own spiders and page indexing solution, it can provide many results that may be hard to find using the other search platforms mentioned below.
- TgramSearch – high-quality resource for general research on Telegram channels and groups, featuring an excellent search tool and content organized into many different thematic categories.
Does Telegram Have a Native Search Engine?
Yes, but it’s very limited. Telegram does have a built-in search function, but it only works inside the app and is mainly designed for finding users, public channels, groups, and bots that you already know by name.
It doesn’t offer a proper full text search across the entire Telegram network or give you the ability to browse topic-based categories like a real search engine would. This is why third-party Telegram search engines like Telegago, Lyzem, TGStat, or the other ones listed below have become so popular.
These tools fill act as an alternative to the native built-in Telegram search function by indexing Telegram channels, groups, and bots across the platform, making it much easier to discover new content, even when you don’t know the exact name of the channel you’re looking for.
1. TgramSearch

TgramSearch is one of the most popular Telegram search engines out there. On the site you can simply enter a term you’re interested in (in the case of all of our examples it’s “Linux”), and immediately display all of the indexed channels related to your search query.
On the main page, you can find a cloud of tags that helps you discover Telegram chats on specific topics by displaying category tags. This way, you can quickly find channels and groups related to broader fields of interest such as literature, gaming, or technology.
2. Teleteg

Teleteg is one of the more interesting search engines for Telegram, featuring a tool that displays a lot of additional data about the channels you’re searching for. In addition to the number of members, you can also see the channel rating, date of creation, and whether the channel can invite users or send polls.
There is also a filter right below the search bar that allows you to search for groups, channels, specific Telegram members and group admins, or even messages. Overall, for me, it’s the second-best tool on this list.
3. Waybien

Waybien is a third-party custom search engine for Facebook, Discord, and WhatsApp, also supports Telegram. After clicking on one of the channels in the search results, you can view additional stats, including a monthly member count chart for the previous year.
Works fast, features a dark mode interface, and provides many unique results, although it doesn’t index as many channels as the other tools listed here.
4. TGStat

TGStat has one of the more complex interfaces among the options on this list. It provides many of the channel stats that the previous engines did, and in the case of public channels, it lets you peek at the latest messages that have been published.
This site is big on categories, a list of which you can find on the homepage. These categories allow you to freely browse the TGStat collection and discover many new and interesting channels and groups. Traffic-wise, this is one of the more popular places to look for new TG communities.
5. Lyzem

Lyzem is a custom Telegram & Telegraph search engine which exists since the early 2019, and works really well for the more obscure TG content. The ability to browse through telegra.ph pages is another thing that makes this one really worth checking out.
While its interface is quite minimal, it can help you find a lot of content that other engines won’t show, as it features its own spiders that index new Telegram/Telegraph channels, groups, and pages every day. Definitely one of the best options on this list!
6. Telesearch

Telesearch is a custom Google Programmable Search Engine (PSE), that works by utilizing a few specific pre-set queries and delivering the results to you. It’s a straightforward tool that can help you find TG content without having to perform more complex Google-jutsu yourself.
Very basic, but also very efficient. And all of the usual Google search operators will work in here too, much like in other PSE-based search engines. Thousands of channels indexed, though often with many repeats for simpler and shorter queries. Still, it’s a very handy tool to keep in your bookmarks if you frequently search for new content on Telegram.
7. XTEA Pro

XTEA Pro is very similar, as it’s also based on a custom Google Programmable Search Engine (PSE). There isn’t much more to say about this one, since the scope of the channels and groups it indexes is mostly the same as that of Telesearch.
Nevertheless, it’s neat another alternative you can use if any of the other PSE-based options listed here go offline. It’s always good to have more options!
8. Groupda

Groupda also known as the “Based.” TG search engine is yet another great tool which works not only for Telegram, but also for Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, and many other services.
While its main TG search gives pretty much the same results as the two previous sites, the option named “Telegram-2” most of the time provides many more sites for the very same query. Yet another great find!
9. TelegramChannels.me

Telegram Channels may not have the largest number of channels in their database, but they do offer a well-organized list of categories filled with interesting content to browse through.
This platform primarily features popular content, so if you’re looking for more niche communities, you might not find them here. Nevertheless, it’s a useful resource to have on hand.
10. Telegram Directory

Telegram Directory is the next position on our list. Here, the groups and channels can be browsed through separately, and they are displayed with large icons and easily visible number of subscribers/members.
You can sort the displayed content either by relevance or by the subscribers count, and there is also a separate category for browsing through Telegram bots. Nice and simple.
11. TGWorld

TGWorld indexes channels, groups and bots, as per usual. It’s easy to use, although doesn’t really let you customize your search in any way.
The interface is pretty simple and you do have to scroll down to get to the search results after pressing the “search” button. Other than that, it’s another solid search engine for TG content.
12. Telegago

Telegago is yet another Google PSE option listed here, this time featuring separate search categories for public & private TG channels, as well as for Telegraph pages and bots, much like Lyzem.com. In my honest opinion, this is one of the most efficient and straightforward third-party search engines for Telegram, and that’s why I saved the best for the last!
The project has been up for quite some time now according to its official page on X, and is a very reliable resource to browse through Telegram content. At the same time, it holds the last position on our list. Hope that you were able to find the best one for your needs, and see you next time!
